The downside with TS is that you have to be running 2K Server (Or NT Term Server edition) to install the service. Plus, if you install it in remote admin mode, it's free for up to 2 conncurrent admin connections. It's basically the same as a *nix X session (which has been around for many years). Term services will always be better than remote control, simply because it's a 'thin client' - Instead of pushing the entire desktop over the network connection (a la PCanywhere and VNC), it's simply echoing mouse/keyboard inputs. Having said that I dont like it in general, I think its fairly slow, it hooks directly into the kernel, and I have seen in all versions up to 9.2 that it can sometimes cut your session off and hang the box (Both NT 4.0 and 5.0) for no reason at all. Pcanywhere works and generally works well, when setup correctly its fairly secure.
